CNT2000 - Network Design Project

Project Description:

In this project our goal was to create a whole new network design for a made up university. During this project we described what wiring, computer and software, and equipment would be necessary to power the network of systems. This project helped build my understanding of what all goes into building a network and servers. I gained experience with CISCO Packet Tracer, AutoCAD, and efficient networking skills when it came to group work.

CIS 4935 - IT Capstone Project

Project Description:

In this project our goal was to redesign our website creation from the Needs Assessment course to be implemented into a mobile phone application. Our application focused on producing an online platform that will provide students with real time notifications of when a desired course of their choosing is either available, open, or closed. Essentially this will be an app or software that saves the students time of checking every day to see if a desired course is open or still closed, This will save the professor a minor annoyance and emailing back and forth between multiple students trying to enroll into the overvalued course, and this will give the institution validated analytics on what courses are needed the most to accompany paying students to all receive a chance at an higher rate. This project gave me experience with coding in C# and database creation within the Android Studio application, networking in a group, and presentation skills when it came to presenting our project to our whole class and during this CIS Expo, in which allowed us to present to several students and professors within and outside of the CIS department.
